Summer is simply delightful, isn’t it? The warm sunshine, the relaxed vibe. It’s all so amazing. But you know what’s even more amazing? The incredible variety of mouthwatering fruits that the season brings. From juicy watermelons to the freshest berries and the sweetest peaches, nectarines, and plums, our taste buds are in heaven. This bountiful summer harvest is the inspiration for a dessert that will knock your socks off. It’s our Yummy Crumbly Fruit Crisp. This sweet treat is incredibly easy to make and takes very little time. We consider it one of our favorites. Once you try it, you’ll agree that it’s pure bliss, perfect for summertime.
Yummy Crumbly Fruit Crisp
Ingredients
- 6 cups sliced plums, or other fresh fruit or fruit combos
(Tasty fruit combos include peaches and blueberries, apples and plums, pears and raspberries. Use your imagination and have fun creating!) - ⅓ cup butter, softened
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup oats
- ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 11½x8x2-inch pan.
- Place fruit in pan.
- In a bowl, combine butter, brown sugar and vanilla. Add flour and oats. Mix well and stir in walnuts.
- Sprinkle oat mixture over top of fruit.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy! If desired, add a dab of fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
